Ivanka Trump on Roy Moore: ‘There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children’

First daughter Ivanka Trump has spoken out against Republican U.S. Senate candidate, Roy Moore, who has been accused of pursuing sexual relationships with teenagers when he was in his early 30s.

In an interview with the Associated Press Wednesday, Trump weighed in on the scandal saying, “There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children.”

“I’ve yet to see a valid explanation and I have no reason to doubt the victims’ accounts,” she added.

However, she did not call for Moore to exit the race.

A total of seven women have accused Moore of sexual misconduct, prompting a wave of demands from national Republican Party leaders that he drop out of the Dec. 12 special Senate election to fill the seat vacated by Jeff Sessions when he was named U.S. attorney general last spring.

Moore, 70, on Wednesday denied the allegations of the first five women to step forward.

U.S. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell has spoken to U.S. President Donald Trump about the situation, but Trump has been largely silent on the issue.
