City volleyball champions have been crowned in the Saskatoon Secondary Schools Athletic Directorate (SSSAD) season.

On the boy’s side, the St. Joseph Guardians and the Holy Cross Crusaders squared-off in the 5A championship.

The Crusaders were looking to avenge their loss to the Guardians in a rematch of the 2016-17 final.

The Bishop J. Mahoney Saints and the Guardians met in a marathon match in the girl’s 5A championship game.

The 4A football season also came to an end with the provincial championship game between the Centennial Chargers and the Campbell Tartans.

The Chargers were looking to become the first team from Saskatoon to win the provincial crown since 2009.
