Green Party Leader Andrew Weaver says he’s tired of politics when it comes to ride-sharing in B.C.
“I’ve been frustrated over the politics of bringing in this legislation which is important to bring in.”
Weaver tabled ride-sharing legislation for a third time earlier this week.
Now he’ll have to wait to see if the government puts his bill on the order paper.
“The government controls everything on the order paper, so my bill will only get on the order paper only if the government chooses to put it there, at which point you try to build support from all parties.”
He says if it does come up, the Greens will work with the Liberals to push it through.
“We’ve always said we’ll work with anybody in the B.C. legislature. We’ve spoken with the BC NDP, we’ve spoken with the BC Liberals.”
The Legislature next sits on Oct. 23.
