A single-vehicle collision ended with a white Mitsubishi SUV on its side after the vehicle hit a curb on Friday afternoon, according to New Glasgow Regional Police.
Officers say that the incident happened at approximately 2:10 p.m., when the 29-year-old man driving the vehicle lost control after hitting the curb at the intersection of North Provost and Archimedes streets.

The driver, from Pictou County, N.S., wasn’t injured.
The two passengers, a two-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy, weren’t injured in the incident either.
According to police, the incident proves the benefits of using seatbelts.

“This collision clearly proves the use of seatbelts and proper installation of child restraints significantly prevented injuries which would otherwise could have been serious,” said Const. Ken Macdonald of the New Glasgow Regional Police.
The incident is still under investigation.
