Riverdale actor K.J. Apa likes Vancouver’s food and the gym where he works out while filming in the city.

But the actor who plays Archie in the popular CW/Netflix series didn’t exactly have glowing things to say about Lotusland in an interview on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan on Wednesday.

Check out Apa’s remarks at 33:15 in the video below:

Apa was speaking with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest about the “very great” lifestyle people enjoy in Vancouver.

The actor agreed.

But then he said this: “The only thing is when you’re there for a long time it can get kind of boring.”

“The city’s not the biggest city in the world, everything kind of shuts early as well, which I guess is good,” Apa said.

“It keeps you coming to work the next day,” Seacrest responded.

“Yeah, that’s right,” Apa said.

Apa’s time filming Riverdale in Vancouver hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing at all times.

Last month, he fell asleep at the wheel and hit a light pole while driving home after a 16-hour work day, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He suffered no serious injuries.

But other experiences have been more positive.

Apa joined a roster of high-profile names to play in a Whitecaps FC charity alumni match on Sept. 16.
