Halifax police are investigating a robbery at a Dartmouth convenience store that took place Thursday morning.
Officers were called to the Kabayan Food Mart on Wyse Road just before 9:30 a.m.

According to Halifax Regional Police, a man entered the store and asked the employee if he could use a restroom at the back of the store.
When the man came out of the restroom, police said he went behind the counter with a knife and demanded money.
The suspect was able to grab the cash register and get away on foot towards Green Street.

Police say the employee was not injured.
The suspect is being described as a Caucasian man with a thin face, grey hair and facial scruff. He was wearing a blue jacket with orange trim, brown pants with paint stains, brown boots or shoes and a Chicago Blackhawks baseball hat.
