A Nova Scotia man is facing several charges, including sexual assault and indecent act, in relation to an incident that police say happened last week in Dartmouth.
According to Halifax Regional Police, a 29-year-old woman was walking with a group of three people on Primrose Street at 11 p.m. on Aug. 30 when the woman noticed a man walking closely behind them was exposing himself.

The man then approached the woman and touched her in a sexual manner over her clothing.
The victim ran to a nearby building. The suspect did not follow her.
Police began an investigation after the woman reported the incident the next day.

30-year-old Brian Joseph Johnson of Dartmouth was arrested on Tuesday by patrol members in the area of Blowers and Barrington Streets in downtown Halifax.
Johnson will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Wednesday and has been charged with one count each of sexual assault, indecent act, breach of probation and two counts of breach of recognizance.
