630 CHED Santas Anonymous has a new physical home, and now the charity has a new online home.
On Friday, the Christmas charity unveiled its new, modernized website.
Executive director Lana Nordlund said the site is now mobile-friendly, which was one of the biggest problems with the previous website.
To build the site and the content which would be housed on it, Santas staff sat down and talked about the most common calls for information they received at the depot.
How to become a volunteer, what toys are needed at what time, and a thermometer that outlines the success of the campaign can all be easily found.
“We’re just trying to make sure that there’s as much information there so we can avoid people who are on our website from having to call us,” Nordlund said. “In turn, the volunteers and staff at Santas depot are able to do the task at hand a little easier and can make sure that all the gifts are prepared because we’re not having to answer the phone quite so often.”
The busiest weekend at Santas depot is easily, the delivery weekend. Anyone looking to volunteer will be able to find all the information needed on a single page.
“It’s the volunteer opportunities, what you need to do, where you need to park, what you need to bring with you. It really answers the majority of the questions we get.”
Nordlund said the charity is looking for feedback as they tweak the new site.
