RCMP seek driver who allegedly fired gun in Red Deer road rage incident

RCMP in Red Deer are searching for a man accused of firing a gun at another driver in a road rage incident earlier this month.

It happened in the intersection of 57 Avenue and Kerry Wood Drive in the evening of Aug. 17.

RCMP allege a man who had been driving aggressively used a handgun to threaten another driver, then fired the gun; the bullet hit the other driver’s car.

No one was injured.

Police said the suspect left the scene but his truck was later found on fire on Township Road 400, north of Blackfalds, Alta. According to RCMP, the truck was stolen out of Whitecourt, Alta., as was the license plate.

Mitchell Thomas Huber, 23, is wanted on 10 warrants including careless use of a firearm.

He is described as six feet tall, weighing 200 pounds. He has red hair and hazel eyes. Police said he has a large black and grey tattoo on the left side of his neck with the letters “E” and “S” within it. He also has another tattoo on his right forearm.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to call Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575 or contact Crime Stoppers.

If you see Huber, RCMP warn not to approach him.
