A 45-year-old woman is facing charges after New Brunswick RCMP arrested her in connection with a house went up in flames on Monday.
Diane Mae Witherell of Red Bank has been charged with two counts of arson, two counts of uttering threats and one count of assaulting a police officer.

The Mounties say they arrived at the fully engulfed home on Northwest Road in Curventon at 4:50 p.m.
The grass around the building was also on fire, threatening a nearby property.

The Sunny Corner Department was able to put out the fire before it damaged any other property.
Witherell appeared in Miramichi Provincial Court on Tuesday and was placed into police custody until she is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
