27-year-old Halifax man arrested in connection to armed robbery of convenience store

A 27-year-old man from Halifax has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a convenience store last week.

According to Halifax Regional Police, Brian Juston Johnson faces a count each of using a firearm while attempting a robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and failing to attend court.

The original incident occurred on Aug. 8 just after 1 p.m at the Herring Cove Road Kwik Way Convenience Store.

Police say a man entered the store, pointed a handgun and demanded money. He was last seen leaving on foot.

Johnson was arrested without incident at a residence on Hilden Drive at 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 10.

He appeared in court Monday morning to answer the charges.
