Quebec floods: Montreal-area school closures for Wednesday, May 10

While flood waters are slowly receding, school boards in Montreal are still closing their buildings for Wednesday, May 10.

Commission Scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSMB)

The following elementary schools will be closed on Wednesday:

  • Bois-de-Liesse
  • Harfang-des-Neiges
  • Jacques-Bizard
  • Jonathan-Wilson
  • Joseph-Henrico
  • Lalande
  • Marguerite-Bourgeoys
  • Murielle-Dumont
  • Perce-Neige
  • Sainte-Geneviève Ouest
  • Saint-Gérard

In addition, the following high schools, specialized schools and centres will also be closed:

  • Des Sources
  • Dorval-Jean XXIII
  • du SAS (Pierrefonds)
  • Félix-Leclerc
  • Centre d’éducation des adultes Jeanne-Sauvé
  • John-F.-Kennedy
  • Saint-Georges

Lester B. Pearson School Board (LBPSB)

The following schools will be closed:

  • Kingsdale Academy
  • St. Charles Elementary
  • Terry Fox Elementary
  • Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School
  • West Island Career Centre

The latter two are currently being used as emergency centres for Pierrefonds-Roxboro.

The graduation ceremony for Sources Adult and Career Centre scheduled for May 10 at 6 p.m. has also been cancelled. A new date is yet to be determined.

The school board reminds parents and staff that bus transportation will be experiencing delays. Bus 29 to John Rennie High School and buses 35, 404, and 502 to Riverdale High School are cancelled.
