What do you do when you’re a Bhangra dancer, you love the Montreal Canadiens, and your team made the playoffs? You dance.

That’s what two Montrealers did and quickly became a viral sensation.

Their video has been viewed more than 100,000 times on Facebook and sparked hundreds of comments.

The two friends who put it together, Prateek Saini and Harshjot Singh, immigrated from India five years ago to study in Canada.

They ended up staying, learning all about hockey and the Habs.

They love the team just about as much as they love Bhangra dancing, so it was obvious to them what they had to do.

“The inspiration came from: what is something that Montreal really loves, and to which we can show the world how we are well integrated into Montreal society,” Harshjot Singh said.

Singh said Bhangra dancing comes from India and is mainly to celebrate good harvests.

Saini and Singh said that if the Habs make it through the first round of the playoffs, they will create another video.
