Police search for two ‘dangerous’ suspects in connection to two Manitoba shootings

WINNIPEG — Michael Tyler Fless, 30, and James Andrew Jewels, 26, are wanted in connection to two separate shootings in Winnipeg on Nov. 28.

The first shooting happened in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue where Benjamin Franklin Traverse, 39, was shot, according to a Winnipeg police news release. Traverse later died from his injuries.

Fless and Jewels then allegedly robbed two other victims and forced them into a vehicle before driving to East St. Paul. They stopped on Raleigh Street between Glenway Avenue and Foxgrove Avenue and shot the victims then fled the area, according to police.

Fless is described as standing 5’4″, 138 pounds with a medium build. He is facing second degree murder charge, attempted murder, kidnapping and robbery and firearms charges.

Jewels is described as standing 5’10”, 166 pounds with a medium build. He is facing attempted murder, kidnapping and robbery and firearm charges.

Winnipeg police and Manitoba RCMP are asking anyone with information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts to contact investigators at 1-204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 1-204-786-8477. Police warn not to approach the two as they are considered dangerous and may be armed.
