A north end Regina elementary school was put in ‘secure the building’ mode for a short time Tuesday morning.
At around 11:20 a.m. police were called to the 100 block of Rink Avenue for a report of a firearm threat. According to police, a witness said he had seen a man with what he believed was a firearm.

Police then contacted school officials, who had already issued a “secure the building” mode after seeing a police presence nearby.
A few minutes later, officers arrested two male suspects but did not recover any guns. The “secure the building” mode was lifted after the two suspects were apprehended.
Charges may be pending for at least one of the men arrested.
