All 8 ‘Harry Potter’ movies returning to Canadian theatres for a week

Just when you thought you’d never have another opportunity to don your fake lightning-bolt scar and Gryffindor colours, IMAX and Warner Bros. are teaming up to bring the beloved Harry Potter films back to theatres.

In anticipation of the Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them — set for release on Nov. 18 — the eight original Harry Potter movies will be screening across Canada.

Tickets go on sale Fri., Oct. 7 for the screenings, which start on Oct. 13 and run for one week. All the movies will be presented in IMAX.

The launch will be a global fan event celebrating the upcoming release of Fantastic Beasts, including never-before-seen footage of the new film. The screenings in London and Los Angeles will have in-person appearances by Harry Potter stars, as well as a live Q&A.
