While Gilmore Girls fans prepare for the arrival of reboot Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life to Netflix (and Netflix Canada) this November, the streaming service is bringing a part of Stars Hollow to life.
To commemorate the 16th anniversary of the series premiere — Gilmore Girls first premiered on Oct. 5, 2000 — Netflix Canada is opening four temporary Luke’s Diner locations to Toronto and one in Vancouver.
Fans can celebrate the show’s “Gilmoreversary” on Wednesday, Oct. 5 by grabbing a coffee at Luke’s Diner, the iconic eatery featured in Gilmore Girls. You’ll feel just like Lorelai and Rory.
Netflix Canada will supply each location with “Luke’s Diner essentials,” including T-shirts and branded aprons, and will also be providing the first 250 customers in each establishment with free 12-ounce cups of coffee, as well as a “fun surprise under their custom Gilmore Girls coffee sleeve.”
The streaming service is turning more than 200 coffee shops across the continent into the diner. Here are the locations in Toronto and Vancouver:

Fans have already expressed major excitement about the Luke’s Diner pop-ups.
The pop-ups will run all day on Oct. 5, with the free coffee giveaway from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. There’s no word yet if a certain flannel-wearing owner will also be making an appearance — or denying anyone their coffee fix.
A list of the more than 200 participating businesses can be found here.
The revival of Gilmore Girls brings back the popular mother-daughter dramedy that aired from 2000 to 2007. Each of the four upcoming 90-minute chapters covers each of four seasons of the year.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will debut on Netflix and Netflix Canada on Friday, Nov. 25.
