Bell Bill DeVoe has released their first single in 15 years – to the surprise of pretty much everyone.
What’s more, the trio announced they’re working on their fourth studio album, Three Stripes. It will be released sometime in early 2017.
The latest song – and accompanying video – find Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe singing about a woman they’re at odds with.
“That’s why I’m not giving my all / When you act like you don’t care at all, I guess I’m a sucker for love, but I believe in you, baby / So I never give up,” they sing in the chorus. The song also makes references to Lucious and Cookie from Empire and teases Poison at the beginning.

While the group has graced the stage plenty of times since their last album was released in 2001, their fans have been asking for a fourth album for well over a decade.
Naturally, word of the single caused a sensational response on social media.

The trio’s debut album, Poison, was released back in 1990. They’ve since been credited with pioneering the “new jack swing” sound, merging hip-hop, funk, soul and pop music.
Their now-iconic single Poison reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and went on to sell over four million copies.
Along with working on the new album, the group is currently working on a BET miniseries about New Edition, the ’80s R&B group that featured Bill Biv DeVoe alongside Bobby Brown and Johnny Gill.
