Morinville RCMP said the remains of a man discovered in a rural area northwest of Alberta’s capital last month are those of 25-year-old Sudesh Chamara Bombuwala of Edmonton.
According to police, Bombuwala – who was also known as “Ricco” or “Johnny” – was kidnapped from his Edmonton home before he was murdered.
On Aug. 9, an area resident called police after finding a body near Township Road 540 and Rural Route 263. An autopsy later confirmed the man’s death to be a homicide but police never revealed the cause of death.
