Mick Jagger expecting 8th child at the age of 72

The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, who’s already a father to seven known children, is expecting his eighth child at age 72.

A spokesman for Jagger confirmed that the singer’s girlfriend, American ballerina Melanie Hamrick, 29, is pregnant.

Jagger’s children range in age from 17 to 45.

Jagger began dating Hamrick after the 2014 suicide of his partner of 13 years, L’Wren Scott. His other children are with former Jagger partners Marsha Hunt, Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall and Luciana Gimenez Morad.

This news comes two months after fellow Rolling Stones bandmate Ronnie Wood became father to twins at age 68.

Jagger became a great-grandfather in 2014, and he has five grandchildren.

The Rolling Stones are working on a new album, and say that it will be blues-inspired.
