Business magazine Alberta Venture has released its annual list of the province’s 50 most influential people.
What does it take to be considered among the top 50 of 4.2 million Albertans?
The magazine explains the criteria to make the list as “having a profound influence over some important aspect of society.”
This year’s list spans from a farmer to a CFL CEO, a music festival manager to a banker, as well as a number of politicians, including Premier Rachel Notley.
Fort McMurray fire chief Darby Allen made the list, as well as the mayor of the regional municipality of Wood Buffalo, Melissa Blake.
Also on the list is Mrs. Universe and First Nations advocate Ashley Callingbull-Burnham, 630 CHED radio talk show host Ryan Jesperson, Edmonton Oiler Connor McDavid, as well as a number of professors, artists and even a Bishop.
