Two young people are dead following a single-vehicle collision in central Alberta Friday.
Blackfalds RCMP said an 18-year-old man from Penhold and a 16-year-old girl from Springbrook were killed when they were thrown from the vehicle they were in during a crash east of Red Deer.

Two other people from the vehicle were taken to Red Deer Regional Hospital with serious injuries. A fifth person was taken to hospital and released a short time later.
The exact location of the crash and the time at which it occurred are not known at this time.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
