EDMONTON- Police are asking the public for help as they try to find the driver of a white SUV that was allegedly involved in a young man being seriously hurt in southwest Edmonton Monday night.
According to police, officers were called to 184 Street and 75 Avenue at about 6:50 p.m. that night after a 27-year-old man was hit by a vehicle while waiting at the bus stop.
Officers were told an SUV drove off the road and hit the man before fleeing the scene.
The man was rushed to hospital where he remains in serious condition although he is expected to survive.
Anyone with information about the hit and run is being asked to call the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
