RCMP confirm they arrested murder suspect Marissa Shephard in Moncton early Tuesday afternoon.
Codiac RCMP Staff Sargent Mark Janes said Tuesday afternoon that Codiac watch officers made the arrest at about 12:30 p.m.
She was arrested in the area of Shediac Road and Lewisville Road along with two other adults after RCMP received a tip from the public.
“We found her, she was arrested, thank you to the public for helping us and assisting with the information, we would not have been able to do this without the help of the public,” Janes said.
Early reports said Shephard was arrested in a hotel, however RCMP say she and the two others were arrested on foot on the street.
RCMP say Shephard and the two others, who have not yet been charged, are scheduled to appear in court tomorrow morning.

Shephard was wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for first-degree murder and arson in connection with the death of Baylee Wylie.
“We are relieved that she has finally been caught,” a relative of Wylie told Global news.
RCMP had put out a plea to the public back in January asking for anyone with information about her to come forward.
Several other young people from the Moncton area have been arrested in connection with what police have described as the “extremely violent” murder of 18-year-old Wylie.
Shephard was the only remaining suspect not in police custody.
