CALGARY – A preliminary inquiry has been scheduled for the man accused of killing Calgary mother Christa Cachene.
Isaiah Rider is charged with second-degree murder for the death of 26-year-old Cachene.
Cachene was fatally beaten following a party at her house which police said Rider had attended. Her body was found in the basement of her Ranchlands home Oct. 11, 2015.
Cachene’s family later found out she was pregnant at the time of her death.

The preliminary inquiry is scheduled for December 5 – 9, 2016.
The 19-year-old accused remains in custody.
