An autopsy confirmed the deceased was Gerald Gallant, 59, who had been reported missing on Oct. 28, 2015.

He was last seen leaving the Dartmouth General Hospital, which is not far from where his body was found, at approximately 10 p.m.

In a release, police say foul play is not suspected in Gallant’s death and that their thoughts are with his friends and family.
