Edmonton police arrested a man without incident early Monday afternoon after responding to a weapons complaint near 150 Avenue and 45 Street.
In the late morning, police said a man was barricaded inside a home and was believed to have a firearm.
A police command post was set up and officers closed down 150 Avenue and 45 Street to respond to the incident.
The area remained closed at 1:20 p.m. while police conducted a search warrant and continued to investigate.
