The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) has found the body of missing country music singer Craig Strickland. It was found in a cove on Kaw Lake, part of the original search area.
His wife, Helen Strickland, confirmed that his body had been found.
Strickland, 29, had been missing since the early morning of Dec. 27, when he and his friend Chase Morland, 22, went duck hunting in Oklahoma in inclement weather. Morland’s body was found the day after the pair went missing.

CBS News reporter Brandi Ball posted this tweet today, claiming Strickland’s body had finally been found.
Strickland’s dog, a black lab named Sam, was found alive two days later.
This was not the first time the two men went into the wilderness together. Several posts on social media show them in camouflage in dense forest. The weather at the time of the incident was not ideal, but it’s not known if it was a factor in the incident.
Strickland was the lead singer of country music band Backroad Anthem.
