WINNIPEG — Just when you thought it was safe to quit shoveling.
Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for parts of south and southeastern Manitoba.
A storm that is tracking over Washington State Monday afternoon will move across the Dakotas and into southern Manitoba beginning Tuesday afternoon.
Snow begins first in areas closest to the U.S. border and will continue to track northeast across the Red River Valley and southeast Manitoba into Tuesday evening.

If you have travel plans to hit the highways in those areas after work on Tuesday best to leave earlier in the day.
The RRV should expect between 5-10 centimetres of snow, while areas along the border and closer to Ontario could see upwards of 15 cm.

- R.M. of St. Clements including Grand Beach, Brokenhead and Libau
- R.M. of Stanley including Winkler and Morden
- R.M. of Hanover including Steinbach, Niverville, and Grunthal
- Killarney – Pilot Mound – Manitou
- R.M. of Grey including St. Claude, Elm Creek, and Fannystelle
- R.M. of Dufferin including Carman, Roseisle and Homewood
- R.M. of Macdonald including Brunkild, Starbuck and La Salle
- Dugald – Beausejour
- St. Adolphe, Emerson, Vita, Richer
- Whiteshell, Lac du Bonnet, Pinawa
- Sprague, Northwest Angle Provincial Forest
