CALGARY – Police are searching for suspects following a carjacking near the Calgary International Airport.
It happened at the Hampton Inn located along 100 Avenue N.E at around 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday.
Investigators said the driver was pepper sprayed and had their newer model rental car stolen by one offender, while another offender took off in a getaway vehicle.
A vehicle matching the description of the getaway vehicle was later involved in a hit-and-run along Harvest Oak Way N.E. Police haven’t yet determined if it was indeed the getaway vehicle that was involved.
The carjacking victim was treated by EMS at the scene.
So far, no other injuries have been reported.
