CALGARY – Environment Canada issued a frost advisory for the City of Calgary on Monday.
The advisory, which was issued at around 3:40 p.m., suggested that frost could damage some crops in frost-prone areas.
“Temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark along the foothills and western parts of central Alberta tonight,” said the advisory.

“Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas,” continued the advisory. “Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.”
Similar frost advisories were also issued for Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds, Sundre, Brooks, Strathmore, Vulcan, Drayton Valley, Devon, Rimbey, Pigeon Lake, Drumheller, Three Hills, Okotoks, High River, Claresholm, Red Deer, Ponoka, Innisfail, Stettler, Rocky Mountain House and Caroline.
