The 44-year-old was rushed to hospital where he remained in a coma until Aug. 5, when the decision was made to take him off life support. He passed away on Monday, making him the city’s 15th homicide of the year.

On Wednesday, police arrested 28-year-old Fuad Yasir Ali, charging him with second-degree murder.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
