WINNIPEG – The Forks Market is looking to revamp its Food Hall with a new craft brewery.
The Forks released its request for proposals Wednesday for a business to operate the Forks Market Craft Brewery in the northwest corner of the market, which would greet visitors as they enter.

“We’re looking for a strong concept, a superb operator, and most importantly, the ability to brew really, really great beer,” says Paul Jordan, Chief Executive Officer of The Forks in a release.
“As a premier meeting place for all Winnipeggers, we want a proponent that speaks to the unique mix of cultures that comprise the complex flavour of our city, but also the architecture of the building to do the same.”
The market is currently accepting proposals for the brewery until the end of September. The construction of the the project is set to start in 2016 and finish at the beginning of 2017.
