UPDATE: Man charged with first-degree murder in death of McLean area woman
INDIAN HEAD, Sask. – RCMP say a 48-year-old man wanted in connection with a McLean area homicide investigation is now in police custody. Shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, Indian Head RCMP received a complaint of a deceased woman in the McLean area.
Officers responded and found the victim inside a residence. Her identity has not been confirmed at this time.
RCMP say early information indicates the death is a homicide. An autopsy is expected to take place next week in Saskatoon.
As part of their investigation police had been trying to locate 48-year-old John Robert Strang, who they considered to be armed and dangerous. He was found and taken into custody, according to officials, early Monday morning.
No charges have been laid.
