CAMPBELLTON, N.B. – RCMP in New Brunswick are asking for the public’s help in finding an armed robbery suspect who is considered armed and dangerous.
Ronald Albert Canuel, 26, of Bathurst, N.B. is charged with robbery with a firearm, wearing a mask in the commission of an offence and failure to comply with a firearm prohibition order.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The charges stem from a July 10 incident where a man entered the Caisse Populaire Restigouche on Roseberry Street in Campbellton and demanded money from an employee at the bank. The suspect, who had a firearm, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a grey or silver-coloured vehicle.
RCMP say it’s believed Canuel may have travelled to British Columbia or be en route there. They say it’s also possible he is driving a grey, 2007 Chrysler 300 with the New Brunswick license plate JGA 870.
Canuel is described as 5’8″ in height, weighs approximately 150 lbs and has blond hair and blue eyes.
He also has various tattoos including:
– A small star under his right eye
– “DFA” written on his neck
– “Royalty Loyalty” written on his collar bone
– “Ronnie” written on his right forearm
– “No Mercy” written on his upper back
– A tribal symbol on his right shoulder
– “Family First” written on his neck
– A microphone on his left upper arm
– “I’ll Live and Die for my family” written on his chest
RCMP advise anyone who recognizes Canuel not to approach him, but to call 911 immediately.
