Elderly motorcyclist dead after crash southeast of Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE –An elderly man is dead after a crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Tuesday morning.

The motorbike was travelling northbound on Highway 4 when a grey truck driving eastbound on Highway 845 crossed in front.

The 75-year-old man on the motorcycle was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital, but died of his injuries in hospital. His name is not being released until family members are notified.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

The collision is under investigation, and RCMP are reminding drivers of all types of vehicles to share the road responsibly.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Lethbridge RCMP at 403-329-5080.
