Teen killed after high-speed crash in downtown Saskatoon

SASKATOON – A teen has been killed in a high-speed crash in Saskatoon. The fatal crash happened around 3 a.m. Thursday in the 300-block of 19th Street East.

Police say the vehicle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed on 19th when the truck struck a power pole and the driver lost control.

Police have confirmed a 15-year-old teen was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

Investigators have determined speed was a factor in the crash.

The collision analyst unit continues to investigate.
