PUNNICHY, Sask. – A youth has been charged in the death of a man in central Saskatchewan. Mounties say the youth was arrested last week at provincial court in Punnichy while the person was appearing on an unrelated matter.
A police spokeswoman says the age and gender of the youth is not being released because that could identify the suspect, which is not allowed under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The youth is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 43-year-old Clayton Charles Cyr of Gordon First Nation.
Police say the youth was known to Cyr, whose body was found Wednesday in a shed in the town about 130 kilometres northeast of Regina.
The youth is set to appear in court in Punnichy on June 16.
