TORONTO – Privately held Toronto technology services provider Quartet Service Inc. announced Wednesday the acquisition of KLM Solutions, an authorized reseller for major manufacturers of computer and networking equipment.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We do a lot of work for our customers in the cloud, but we also believe hardware is not going to disappear,” Quartet president and CEO Robert Bracey said in a news release making the announcement.

“The combined strengths of Quartet’s service experience and KLM’s product expertise are a perfect match. We see our current clients utilizing KLM’s hardware and project expertise, while at the same time KLM’s clients can use Quartet’s experience to help them move towards cloud computing.”

Cloud computing is a broad-based term for Internet-based computing services, such as storage for data, offered on servers that exist apart from an individual user’s own computer or network.
