KELOWNA, B.C. – Kelowna RCMP are thanking the public for their help after a 39-year-old man who had been reported missing two years ago has been found. Constable Kris Clark says Phillip Lee Lyons is safe and sound after being located in Newfoundland. He adds Lyons was known to be in B.C. as recently as November, but would not comment on how he was found or how he got across the country.
On May 26, 2012, Lyons was on day parole as a first-time federal offender when he walked away from a halfway house in Kelowna. Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for the suspension of Lyons’ parole and he has been unlawfully at large since that time.
