MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Construction firm EllisDon says it is buying another Ontario-based company, Looby Construction for an undisclosed price.
Looby, based in Dublin, Ontario, specializes in bridge, culvert and dam construction and repair.
Mississauga-based EllisDon says the acquisition will help complete one corporate goal to expand its presence in civil work and new markets in the Ontario bridge industry.

Two Looby key executives, Stan Connelly and Joe Looby will stay on in their leadership roles at the company, as well as the more than 100 employees in Dublin.
Looby will operate as a standalone business within EllisDon’s civil division.

EllisDon employs more than 1,000 people and has offices in North America and the United Arab Emirates.
