Stray bullet fired into Okanagan girl’s bedroom

It happened on Sunday in East Kelowna and it’s believed the bullet may have come from a neighbour trying to shoot a coyote on his property.

Two girls were inside playing in the house and were not hurt in the incident.

It’s illegal to fire a gun within Kelowna city limits, with some exceptions, and RCMP say they’re still looking into whether the shooter had done his due diligence.

“Well I think anybody who fires a high-powered rifle into a children’s bedroom needs to go before the courts,” said homeowner Rex Jardine.
