Toronto Morning: What you need to know today

TORONTO – A Toronto anesthesiologist will be sentenced today for sexually assaulting 21 women under sedation.

The crown is looking for a 12 to 15 year sentence for Doctor George Doodnaught who was convicted back in November.

Doodnaught’s lawyer is asking for a more lenient sentence of 8 to 10 years.

All but one occurred during surgeries at a Toronto hospital between 2006 and 2010.
