An overnight shooting in Langley, B.C., has left one man dead and another in hospital.
Langley RCMP was called to 202 Street near 70th Avenue to reports of gunfire just after midnight on Friday.
Two later presented themselves at the hospital, where one died of his injuries, police said.
Neighbours described hearing up to 10 “rapid fire” gunshots, before seeing a black SUV or truck speed away.
“It’s not comforting, that’s for sure,” neighbour Melissa McCombe said.
“It’s a risk to everyone around when there are bullets being fired. Even though they might be aiming in one direction, there can still be stray bullets.”
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been deployed.
Police say the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.
