DELMAS, Sask. – A man is dead after a crash on Highway 16 at the intersection of a secondary grid road near Delmas, Sask.
The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. after a southbound car attempting to cross the highway on the grid road was hit by a pickup truck travelling east on the highway.

The driver of the car, an elderly man, was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
A passenger in the pickup truck received minor injuries.
Traffic was restricted in the area while Mounties carried out their investigation.
