Jordan Prentice
Digital Journalist
Jordan Prentice is a digital journalist at Global News in Calgary.
Originally from Vancouver, Jordan is a graduate of BCITās Broadcast and Online Journalism program.
She began her career in Fort St. John, spending two years reporting across northeast B.C. covering everything from wildfires and extreme weather, to the Site C dam and its impacts on communities across the region.
Jordan later moved to southern Alberta, spending two years with Global News in Lethbridge before joining Global Calgary in May 2026.
She has a particular interest in stories involving the environment, extreme weather and Indigenous communities, and is drawn to stories that give her the opportunity to get out in the field and meet the people directly affected by the issues she covers.
Jordan strives to bring a different perspective to common narratives and challenge stereotypes surrounding complex social issues.
Outside of work, Jordan loves hot yoga, photography, drawing, great films and live music. She can also usually be found spending time with her cats or finding a storm to chase and photograph.
