Heidi Lee

Heidi Lee is a national online journalist with Global News based in Toronto.
She graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in June 2022, formerly known as Ryerson University. During her time at TMU, she was the news editor at The Eyeopener for two years where she covered student politics, and notably, the fall of the Egerton Ryerson statue.
In 2022, she won the John H. McDonald Awards for Excellence in Student Journalism: News Reporting Award along with her colleagues at The Eyeopener. Before joining Global News, Heidi wrote for J-Source and Hong Kong Free Press.
