A man and a woman from Hamilton, Ont. are facing charges after police say they held a man against his will in an allegedly stolen trailer.

Police said they found the victim and two suspects in the trailer in the area of Wellington Street North and King William Street on Tuesday after responding to a call around 7:30 a.m.

Police believe the victim had been held for “several days” and that the incident was targeted.

He did not require medical attention.

Roxanne Atkinson, 29, and Michael Horner, 39, are both facing charges of kidnapping and forcible confinement.

Horner faces additional charges connected to the alleged theft of the trailer and licence plates that police said were also found on site.

“Police have opposed the bail of both suspects and they will appear before the courts,” Hamilton police said in a media release.
