One person is dead after a rollover in Calgary’s northwest community of Sunnyside.
It happened just before 3 a.m. on Saturday in the eastbound lanes of Memorial Drive.
Police said the car lost control, struck a median and rolled several times before hitting a tree.
A woman in her 30s in the front passenger seat was declared dead at the scene.
Another woman in her 30s was taken to hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a man in his late 30s, was taken to hospital in non life-threatening condition.
No word yet on whether alcohol or excessive speed were a factor in the crash.
Memorial Drive was shut down at 10 St. N.W. while police investigated.
