OKANAGAN — The Dairy Queen bandit has struck again.
Thieves have been targeting Dairy Queen restaurants in the Okanagan.
Three of them have been broken into since January of this year and each time the crooks have been taking charity boxes meant for BC Children’s Hospital.
The first theft happened at the Dairy Queen in Penticton on Jan.30, where a charity box was taken and nothing else.
On March 1, someone broke into the Dairy Queen in Summerland. Again, only the charity box was taken.
The most recent theft happened at the Dairy Queen in West Kelowna last weekend where the thieves gained access by breaking the front-door window.
One owner is convinced it’s the same person committing the thefts because the thief keeps targeting the BC Children’s Hospital charity boxes.
